Cornerstone Cellars

Located in downtown Yountville, Cornerstone Cellars stays open later than other wineries, making it a great spot to end the day, or have a glass of wine before dinner. The tasting room has 270 degree views of downtown Yountville, and still retains some ambiance from its former life as an art gallery. Light, spacious, sophisticated and cleanly furnished, the tasting room has wide-plank pine floors, butter-colored walls, and intimate seating areas for tasting wines. Visitors can explore a small retail area dedicated to artisan olive oils and vinegars from Hurley Farms, Talcott, Cypress Hill and Atlas Peak. The winery offers olive oil tastings with fresh bread from the bakery across the street, Bouchon. Cornerstone Cellars produces two distinctive Cabs: a single vineyard Howell Mountain and a Napa Valley blend. The wines are structured to cellar for quite sometime, but their youthful charm entices every drinker. More than 2/3 of their vineyards are certified organic. Cornerstone's sister label, Stepping Stone, produces Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc. Stepping Stone is crafted to pair with food, and drink with friends and family. Bold, colorful paintings from Janet Ekholm and unique hand-crafted jewelry made by Susan Camp are on display and available for purchase.
